I have always wanted to impact the lives of others in the best ways I can. Recently, I was invited to join Project Mexico through St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Rochester, NY. This summer, I have the opportunity to travel with a group to San Diego, California, and then on to Tijuana, Mexico, where we will help build houses for families in need. The funds I raise will go directly toward my share of the building materials and the travel expenses required to make this journey possible.

When I look around at the world and see the violence and suffering so many people endure, I feel a deep urge to make a difference. As a follower of Christ, it is my yearning to help others to the best of my ability, just as Jesus did. I hope that this journey will not only allow me to serve those in need, but also deepen my own spiritual journey and help me live a life more like Him.
