Mission Trip: Senegal 2020
Donation protected
At 25, I find myself on a good path for myself: I'm working as a full time graphic designer for Expeditors, pursuing further advancement as a soccer referee, and growing in my faith. With this, I’d like to share with you a great opportunity that I believe God is leading me to – an opportunity to serve people in Dakar, Senegal on a short-term mission trip. I’d love for you to be a financial and prayer partner in this mission with me.
For the past few months, I have been thinking and praying about going on a mission trip. I’ve decided to go with Timberlake Church to Senegal! I believe this is a step that God is asking me to take. I am excited for all that I will learn in the months leading up to the trip, during the trip, and after I return home. I believe God is going to “do a good work in me” as a result of this incredible opportunity.
Timberlake Church is traveling as a team with our Care Pastor Steve Knox and our Missions Director Anouk Rising. The Timberlake Church Staff and our In-Country Mission Partner offer complete logistical coordination for our team, on-site support, and connects us with invaluable partners in Senegal. I am very excited for the opportunity to serve with Timberlake Church. My team from Timberlake and I will spend most of our time focused on making building improvements at a Christian school there that is dedicated to fighting illiteracy in a poverty-stricken country. There may be opportunities for painting, building/repairing desks, minor repairs, and cleaning. The specific projects needed will be clearer as we get closer to the departure date. Above all, we are devoted to serving the local people and developing relationships with them!
First and foremost, I ask for your prayer support, mostly for safety and for God to work in and through me. I know nothing can be done without prayer, and I really would appreciate all the prayer support that I can get. I have so much excitement for this trip because I've always been drawn towards helping others. This is a way that I can make a big difference in a place that truly needs it! In my faith, I've further fostered this desire and I'm eager to serve Him in Senegal this coming February and wherever He sees fit in the future.
As I prepare for the trip, I would like to humbly ask you to consider supporting me financially. The cost of the trip is $1,600 + Airfare. Any amount would be great, but if you would be willing to contribute $20, $50, $100 or more, it would really help me to reach my goal!
Please consider how you would be willing to support me during this trip—either through prayer, financial support or both. All donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for partnering with me and supporting me as I prepare for this adventure! I look forward to letting you know how the trip impacted my life when I return!
