Mission Possible: A Safe Space for Dreaming!

Our Students hard at work

You can help young people become not just musicians,

but industry leaders!

MusicBreeds cultivates young musicians by inspiring and empowering them to be skillful musicians and by teaching them life skills, good work habits, the financial side of the music industry, and the mental and wellness aspects of self-growth.

• With a new sense of belonging and opportunity to succeed, our students are more engaged and their’ attendance, behavior, and test scores on state exams improve.
• Each student entering our program is three times more likely to graduate

and attend post-secondary education.

Hello. I’m Isaiah Grigg, the Founder and Executive Director of MusicBreeds.

I started listening to and playing music as a child. I first played on a Casio keyboard and was so intrigued by all the possibilities that it consumed my every thought. The motivation came easily, but hardship arose when trying to maximize my potential. My parents couldn’t afford lessons or formal training. I didn’t have mentors or foundational support to navigate me in the right direction. Though I wouldn’t express it, I was so frustrated. All I wanted was to play music.

From this experience and more came MusicBreeds to give extra support to motivated young musicians from disadvantaged backgrounds. I wanted an organization that could provide mentorship and educational resources to help youth expand on their potential and make their dreams a reality—whether they wanted to play at a collegiate level or professionally.

After 10 months of building, our MusicBreeds Learning Center is now at risk of being lost just as we are at finish the finish line to complete construction.

Imagine the next YouTube star, Grammy award winning artist or songwriter

having a space to create, record, and brand their ideas

without the hardship of monetary restrictions!

Help us save this space and help the dreams of talented young people

from disadvantaged communities come true.

The MusicBreeds Learning Center will be an all-in-onecreative space for our student musicians, while lessening the financial burden of hard-working parents and/or guardians. It includes:

1.  In-house recording studio for our students to learn and perfect their skills in

engineering, recording, software, music technology, and more.

2.  Music Discovery Zone - history is important to evolution. So, our Music Discovery

Zone takes on a historical approach playing videos and music from different time

   periods and genres.

3.  The Stage is a place for student to practice through stage fright, build confidence, and

perform for their Parents, peers and industry professionals scouting for the newest

talent! This stage has backed by a huge projector screen that puts our students’

names in lights but also assists our instructors in bring lessons to life!!

4.  The Workstation room allows for both in-person and online instruction to occur. With a

giant white board for doodling and idea sharing, students can do homework,

collaborate with peers, and work through issues with our amazing staff of mentors and

    instructors.

5.  The Live area is where local bands and students can showcase their ability in front of

a live audience. This is also one of our main group teaching areas.

Thank you ALL!!

A donation of any size will help hundreds of students from underrepresented communities discover their talent and achieve new heights.
