Mission of Love for Puerto Rico

Have you ever woken up to the earth shaking beneath you? Have you ever felt the adrenaline rushing through your veins as you scramble in fear to protect your loved ones? If you have ever found yourself unfortunate enough to experience the terror and chaos of an earthquake, then I'm sure you can empathize when you read my story about the night my family and I faced this exact situation in Puerto Rico.  On January 7th, 2020, at 4:24 AM, I was abruptly awoken by the intensity of a 6.6 earthquake hitting Puerto Rico. As I bolted to get my daughter safely outside, knowing the rest of my family will follow, I had no idea that this was just the beginning of a series of earthquakes that would wreck the land I had called home for so long. My husband and I were lucky enough to have been able to come back to America that same day, as it was the end of our stay there, but coming back did not allow me to forget those who remain struggling through what seems to be a string of relentless earthquakes. Imagine not even being able to attempt rebuilding your surroundings because your land is still being devastated every day. My father, who is lives in Puerto Rico, updates me daily about the earthquakes that are continuing to shake our island. My heart breaks for the ones who have been affected and are left hurting without relief. The money raised from this GoFundMe is a love offering which will be used entirely for the purpose of providing assistance to the people of Puerto Rico. For those of you have contributed to our Hurricane Maria Relief Mission in the past, in which United City and Bandaid for Puerto Rico were able to raise a total of 172 lbs of food, you are aware of how seriously we take these fundraisers and the level of integrity displayed throughout. I am calling on you, friends and family who have so generously lent a hand in our previous undertaking, to once again stand with us in support of Puerto Rico. In this mission, and others to come, we plan to provide aide to those in Guánica and Ponce by purchasing tents, camping supplies, building and construction materials, and food for those affected by the earthquakes. My husband and I will personally be taking 100% of the funds to Puerto Rico on February 14th and we will ensure it gets into the right hands. I can't think of a better way to spend Valentine's Day than by bringing love to the ones who are in need of it most, in the way they need it most. Please consider donating any amount you are able to as I know it will go a long way in touching the lives of those who are still dealing with the outcome of this calamity.
