Hello, my name is Samantha and I recently took in a surrendered kitten (9 months old) named Meeko who is highly suspected FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). FIP is a fatal systemic coronavirus infection. He is currently struggling with lethargy, decreased appetite, fluctuating fever, etc. However, with my veterinarians help I have recently started him on a new medication that can hopefully help him out greatly. FIP used to be untreatable, but this new medication gives Meeko an 85% chance of a complete cure. He was just given his first dose yesterday and has already had  small improvements today! The medicine he has been receiving is given everyday once a day for a MINIMUM of 84 days.This medication is very expensive and I will need to buy it weekly each time. The money received through the gofundme will strictly go towards the care of Meeko paying for his medication and hospital bills. I’m going at this with great hopes and hoping you can find it in your heart to help me help Meeko on his road to recovery and give him a chance of having the long kitty life he deserves.
