Welcome to Mission Gabriel Ministries Church Building Project, an extensive development that will meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of thousands of men, women and children for generations to come. The new building will house a variety of facilities, including a large assembly hall, retreat centre, meeting spaces and more.
Background
Over 30 years ago, Overseer Catherine McCarthy was called to the Ministry of Jesus Christ to do a work in this end time. God anointed her to speak into the lives of hundreds of people and as a result, countless lives have been healed, restored and transformed in multiple ways.
In 2005, this ministry was established as Mission Gabriel Ministries, a non-denominational church, in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica, West Indies. Since then, we have established other branches in the US, UK and Canada, with an aim to go further.
Restoration Ellis
As the work continued, God laid a great burden upon the heart of Overseer McCarthy for the lives of the sick, lowly and dying, as well as addicts, widows, orphans and the homeless. This passion became a vision and later bore fruit, as Restoration Ellis - home for the aged, was launched in partnership with Food For The Poor in 2007. Restoration Ellis has since served as a refuge and final dwelling place for many elderly and poverty-stricken members of the community. The home is staffed by a team of dedicated volunteers; largely made up of youth, who learn to be in the service of others while gaining invaluable life skills.
Community Outreach
Our community outreach programs provide us with the opportunity to practice the love for God for people far and wide, which is very dear to our hearts. We help people from all walks of life across our immediate and wider communities by donating food, clothing and school items, and with visits to the sick and housebound, among other things.
The Vision for the Future – and why we need your help
We are deeply grateful to God for what He has helped us to accomplish over the past 30 years, but the demand is ever increasing. Many elderly folks, families and young people remain destitute and without resources to meet their basic living needs, a situation worsened by the events of our current times. Due to the growing numbers and demand for help, we need a larger space to accommodate everyone and to fulfil the task that has been given to us.
The work is great, the need is great but the power of unity among the people of God is even greater.
The new Mission Gabriel Ministries Building Project is already under construction, and we are in urgent need of your help to complete it. Building this mission will help us to continue to build lives. It will strengthen our existing programs and provide further opportunities to create new ones. We envision a building buzzing with activity and visitors, with education facilities for children, training spaces for young people, mentoring for parents and facilities to alleviate the suffering of the poverty-stricken. It will also be the home for our new church where we can continue to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are kindly asking for your support to complete this project and bring it to life.
