Hi, my name is Lisa and I’m based in Manchester, UK. I’ve created this page in a desperate effort to support my aunt, Jane, during an unimaginable crisis no family should ever face.

On Wednesday 8th April, we received a call that turned our world upside down — my cousin Robert has gone missing while on vacation in California. Robert, who lives near Pensacola in Milton, Florida with his mum, has still not been found. This is completely out of character, and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance in the Willow Creek/Burnt Ranch area of California are deeply concerning.

Robert is father to a young son and a caring man who has always been there for his family especially his mum which makes this even more concerning. He and his mum shared a home and supported each other, with Robert covering the vast majority of the household expenses. His sudden disappearance has left us extremely worried and fearing the worst. We are determined to get answers — no matter how long it takes.

Despite initial searches by local authorities, there have been no meaningful leads. Now, a group of Robert’s close friends are preparing to travel from Florida to California to continue the search themselves. We have also hired a private investigator and an attorney to do everything possible to uncover the truth.

This effort comes at a significant financial cost. Travel expenses alone for the search team are expected to be at least $2,000–$3,000 for fuel, food, and accommodation, not including time away from work. Legal and investigative costs are ongoing and substantial.

At the same time, Jane is facing severe financial pressure. A retired nurse with ongoing heart issues, she has suddenly lost the person who covered around 90% of the household expenses. She is now struggling to keep up with essential bills and property costs. In fact, she has already had to borrow $2,050 just to bring property taxes up to date and prevent the risk of losing her home.

Above all, this is about bringing Robert home — or at the very least, finding out what has happened to him. Our family, his friends, and most importantly his young son, are living in unbearable uncertainty. We are heartbroken, and we are desperate for answers.
