Susan Willand: supporting family after her passing

UPDATE: It is with a heavy heart that I report the news that Susan Willand's body was found in the Merrimack River on January 17, 2020. Her family is devastated and deeply saddened with her loss. We will be reopening this fundraiser for those who have reached out wishing to continue to help us cover expenses at Sue's house and for the end-of-life expenses that are now going to be required of her daughter. We want to thank everyone who has donated over $9,000 to this fund to date to help us pay for Sue's expenses. We promise those funds will be used for exactly what we said we would do, and cover the mortgage, bills, and expenses for the next few months. Any future funds raised will be split between paying for the expenses of the home and for the end-of-life expenses. Please feel free to message us with questions or concerns. -------------------------- On December 20th, 2019, at around 7:30 am, my aunt Susan Willand left her home in North Chelmsford MA without her phone, wallet, or keys. She has not been seen or heard from since. Her family and friends have come together with the police to search for her and bring her home safely. Through this we have realized that her mortgage, bills, and other expenses continue to need to be paid while we are searching for her and potentially for a time after she returns home so she can get back to her life as smoothly as possible. Her family is asking our community and the online community to help us cover her expenses for the next 12 months. We are asking for around $2,000 a month, which covers her mortgage on her home, her car payment, and monthly expenses for utilities. Our goal is to maintain her residence while we are looking for her. We are rounding up an extra $1,000 to cover any unexpected expenses, which is how we got to the number $25,000.  My name is Susan Teal, I live in Massachusetts and my mother is Susan's older sister. I have been the social media point person for my family as we struggle to navigate the tasks we need to complete in order to search for my aunt. My extended family has worked together to make statements to the news and our communities both in flyers and online. I set up this GoFundMe with my families support and with their approval. All funds raised by this campaign will go to my cousin, Susan Willand's daughter, so that she can pay her mothers bills.
