Timeline:
1/5/2024
Roger traveled to Bismarck, North Dakota for a routine heart checkup as he has had a quadruple bypass years ago.
Text from Roger around 6pm saying he made it back to Williston, North Dakota and everything was good at the doctor checkup.

Later that night it was verified that he was at the Black Gold Casino located on the MT/ND border on HWY 2 West of Williston, North Dakota. He had signed out a voucher slip for $10.00 before he left. He did not win any money that night.

He is then thought to have traveled home to his residence located near the intersection of Hwy 2 and 146th Ave NW on the west side of Williston, North Dakota.

Cameras were down at the casino so there was no footage of him there and/or leaving the parking lot.

Camera footage from any camera along HWY 2 was not useful as it was iced over from weather.

It is unknown what he would have been wearing at the time of his disappearance. Video footage that was retrieved from a business he visited that day shows what Roger was wearing. These clothes and his hat were all found in his dryer at his house.

1/7/2024
Family member was notified that nobody has seen or heard from Roger since 1/5/2024. Family member called and texted him with no response so went to his house.

Upon arrival, found the keys to his truck sitting on center counsel in his unlocked truck. When entering the home, found that Roger was not there. However, his Wallet with money and all cards, ID, etc in it, cellphone, and keys to his other vehicles were all in the home.
Bedroom and bathroom light were on with a space heater running in the bathroom which Roger did as a normal routine to keep the bathroom warm when he showered.
His wallet was sitting on a shirt in a corner tub in the bathroom.
Cell phone was plugged into charger and was face down on his bed with a shirt over it.
The coffee maker was on but the coffee pot was on the kitchen island and not put back on the coffee maker hotplate.
His bedroom TV remote was sitting next to the coffee maker.
The dryer was running. However, Roger had problems with the dial and the dryer dial would stick and Roger would have to manually stop the dryer.
His everyday shoes were on the floor heat vent upside down as he always put them there to dry them out.
The house didn’t look to have anything out of the ordinary going on. No signs of any struggles or distress.

After seeing Roger was not in the house, proceeded to check every room, closet, etc. again in the house. Then proceeded outside. Walked around house and immediate area finding no visual footprints in the snow anywhere. Checked under house, along with his vehicles and campers. Roger was nowhere to be found.
Then CHI hospital of Williston, North Dakota was contacted and there was no information of him being there.

Then contacted the Sheriff’s department and they had no information either.

Sheriffs and Detective came out and took statement and info from family member.

While the sheriffs were there, a neighbor stopped as they were on their way home and said they noticed the door was cracked open Saturday 1/6/2024 as they drove by. Didn’t think anything of it as Roger has been seen before to go back in to grab something from the house. It was then Sunday 1/7/2024, the same neighbor drove by again as he was heading to town and saw door was still cracked open. He felt something wasn’t right and stopped. Poked his head inside the house and yelled for Roger. Said no response but seen light was on in back room and dryer was running. He shut the door and went to town.
