Missing: Cory Dale Moore Memorial Fund

Cory Dale Moore went missing from Sanford NC on the afternoon of September 3, 2020 under unusual circumstances.  He was last seen barefoot and on foot near his home on Pickard Rd. He was reported missing to law enforcement.  Multiple searches were conducted by family, friends, and law enforcement in the area over the subsequent days and weeks.

Cory was ultimately missing for over five months until February 12, 2021, when human remains were found in a heavily wooded area about a half mile from his last known location.

Officials have confirmed that the remains are those of our Cory.

Cory was a son, a brother, a partner, a father, a loved & loving family member.
We cannot imagine a world in which he doesn't live, but that is the reality we face today.

He will always be missed by those who have loved him.

After confirmation of his positive identification, the family has established a memorial fund in his name.  Cory did not have life insurance nor had he planned for his end of life expenses because he was so young. This fund is to be used for his final expenses and a public memorial service which will be announced soon.
