Missie cancer treatment fund

My sister, Missie, was diagnosed with endometrial cancer a few weeks ago. The doctor is optimistic that it was caught early enough that a hysterectomy will remove the cancerous cells. The surgery is scheduled for August 6th and, Lord willing, that will be the end of it.

Between the initial appointments and testing where the endometrial cancer was discovered and confirmed, the Oncologist visit and scheduling surgery, pre-op chest x-ray, EKG, and the deposit for the hospital, the out of pocket cost is already over $4,000; and that’s WITH insurance! Missed work, uncovered costs and other expenses will, no doubt, keep adding up.

You may also know that their daughter, Kyra, is a Type 1 diabetic and the cancer diagnosis and treatment is now additional medical costs on top of the diabetes 24/7 medical treatment and care. My sister and her husband are hard-working people that don’t need the extra stress and worry about finances, so anything you can give will be greatly appreciated!

Update . . . Missie was admitted to the hospital 3 days early due to possible complications to the surgery.  They wanted to make sure she was at her best prior the the hysterectomy. The first of added expenses.
