Hello friends, family, strangers, and all lovers of art and theater! As you may know we - Maisie Gospodarek and Jasmine Sherman, co-founders of MissCast Productions - are embarking on a journey to create and produce excellent, local theater! Our first show "The Ladies Who Lead" is set to premiere June 12th, 2021. We need your help to make sure it is a success, and to guarantee that our incredible performers are well paid. Below is our mission statement as well as a show budget which clearly outlines how your donation will be spent.
MissCast Productions is a theatre and production company dedicated to diversifying the definition of theatre. It is our aim to showcase artists of all shapes, sizes, genders, and races. Too often traditional “type-casting” hinders growth. In rejecting this practice we will uplift the voices of those in our community who have felt overlooked, and create a safe space where everyone can shine.
In the spirit of female empowerment, our first show is a culmination of show-stopping musical theater parodies with an all female cast and production team. To make this show happen we have constructed the following budget:
Performers Pay- $1,000
We are dedicated to paying our performers for their work. Though already guaranteed a split of ticket sales, we want to be able to give them more. With a cast of four, and a band of four, $1000 is our goal!
Sheet Music- $100
Costumes-$300
Show-stopping, leading lady numbers are only made better by show-stopping costumes!
Props-$75
Marketing & Logo Design (posters, local advertising etc.) -$150
Swag (stickers, business cards, etc) -$150
That's right, we LOVE our logo and we want to share it with you! And, as a way to thank you for your generosity, the following gifts will be sent out to those who donate:
- All donations $15+ will receive a handwritten thank you note from MissCast Productions.
- All donations $25+ will receive a MissCast Productions sticker, as well a handwritten thank you note.
- All donations $50+ will receive a 'mystery gift', a MissCast Productions sticker, and a handwritten thank you note.
- All donations $100+ will receive a personalized video from Maisie & Jasmine, a 'mystery gift', a MissCast Productions sticker, and a handwritten thank you note.
