I am so excited to announce my title as Miss Black California US Ambassador . Miss Black US|AM is an organization that prides themselves on building black women into community leaders and change agents. In July, I will be competing for the National title in Orlando Florida.
My goal is to use this platform to bring greater awarness to emotional wellness in the black community.
With over 35,000 people committing suicide each year, it is important to me that communties are having conversations centered on emotional wellness and are equipped with the proper knowledge and resources to appropriately handle mental health issues, but I can not do this without YOU!
Here is how you can help!
1) Donate to the campaign! The money will go to pageant expenses and to support the launch of the Crown of Courage Youth Program. The youth program will consist of partnering with local organizations to host pop up workshops that promote emotional wellness in young women.
2) Share with your friends and family. Anything whether big or small helps to support the cause and the more people that support the better!
