Miss World America - Lekha Ravi

I will be competing in the Miss World America competition October 10-12 to promote my platform on Financial Literacy. One leg of the competition is the Entrepreneurship Challenge, where we raise money for our program book and part of these proceeds will be donated to the charity of the winner’s choice. The non-profit I chose is called Financially CLEAN. I sit on their associate board and our aim is to build financial knowledge and discipline in our youth, especially those underserved, by bringing free financial literacy workshops to our schools and community. They do really incredible work and coming from an immigrant family where money was a limiting factor in a lot of decisions we made, it is very important to me to help this organization empower people who aren’t aware of the financial resources available to them.

I have personally put down $1000 and aim to raise $2000 more by the deadline of September 2nd and I am reaching out to you to help me reach that goal. These donations can be a tax write-off and personal or business contributions are welcome – if it is a business I can add them as a sponsor in the Program Book next to my picture as an advertisement. This Program Book will be an elegant “Vogue-style” magazine, featuring all 2019 contestants, and will be distributed to all judges, industry executives and taste-makers prior to the final event. All contestants will also receive a copy of it and it will be available for purchase at the event.
