Miss Tutu

We are seeking your kind support for Tutu, who recently had a Brain surgery.

She recently travelled to the UK for her masters degree. She suddenly collapsed on her way from university. Rushing her to A+E she was diagnosed with Brain haemorrhage (gangliocapsular hematoma with mass effect and midline shift) which means secondary to the rupture of arteriovenous malformation affecting the left anterior cerebral artery, which unfortunately bled out, causing a large clot, and a craniotomy surgery was done to save her life. She spent a few weeks on life support in Intensive Care Unit.

While she was fighting for her life in ICU, Tutu's landlord instructed her friends to come pack her things, which was so heartbreaking as Tutu was fighting for her life at that point. She is currently in the neuro rehabilitation ward. She has a lot of rehabilitation to get back on her feet.

Since Tutu came in as a student, we don't know how long it would take for her to go back to school. We, her friends and loved ones, are planning to apply for a compassionate leave to remain in the country because we wouldn't want her to become illegal if she is not fit to go back to university soon, as the medical team had suggested that she won't be abe to cope with her studies for a long time.

Tutu is unable to continue with her studies at the moment. Therefore, she needs our support to change her immigration status from a student to leave to remain on compassionate ground. This will enable Tutu to have access to adequate care and support for her recovery because, at the moment, she is unable to do basic things that she was well capable of doing prior to this incident.
