Miss Peggy's recovery from hip surgery

Hi, my name is Casi and I started this fundraiser for Miss Peggy (Peggy Banks), our favorite daycare provider.

Peggy was in a terrible skiing accident over Christmas break that left her with a broken hip. After much thought, she made the tough decision to shut down her daycare due to the long and painful recovery time.

Peggy has been in the childcare business for over 23 years, and was a huge blessing to so many families in the Spirit Lake area! She came highly recommended by all of our friends who had children who she previously cared for. She was the best thing that happened to our family when looking for daycare for our son. The first time we met her all of my worries went away as I knew my son would be in great hands.

Peggy is the type of person who always puts everyone before herself. Our son learned so much from her in the two years he was in her care. We lovingly referred to her as “The Toddler-Whisperer”. Peggy loved all her daycare kids like they were her own. She is extremely sad to have to give it up, as she truly loves to teach all her kids to read and write and watch them grow!

I’m hoping we can raise some money to help her with medical bills and other bills that may arise. She no longer has a source of income and is unsure if her insurance will even cover the accident. Altogether, she could just use some help. She has given so much to so many people and their children, it’s time to give back to her.
