Hello, my name is Elijah. My parents are Liz and David Clark. They are the owners of Miss Mae’s Marvelous Lemonade.

On Saturday July 5th, my parents were setting up for an event at Giss Parkway when their truck caught fire. My dad, David, was able to quickly get my mom, Liz, out of the trailer before the fire could spread further, saving her life. Unfortunately, he did suffer severe burns on 6% of his body. He was airlifted to Phoenix. He is now back home in Yuma. David got skin grafts on his hands, arm, and legs and face. They’re estimating a year long recovery.

With the help of the community, they were able to put out the fire with minimal damage to the trailer. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the truck. While we will still be open in the children’s museum, Liz and David's main source of income came from the trailer. My parents' only income is from Miss Mae’s Marvelous Lemonade.

If anyone is feeling led to donate, the money will be going to my father's medical bills, my parents' house bills, and supplies to keep the museum stand going. Thank you so much to the Yuma community for their continued support of my parents and their business during this time. My parents really appreciate the outpouring of love, prayers, and well wishes.
