Lucia, Catarina & Jonathan Duraes

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of John Paul Duraes.

 

Last Thursday, John Paul, of Putnam Valley, NY, lost his battle to Leukemia at the young age of 50. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend of so many. John was a beautiful soul and was adored by all that knew him. He was selfless and hardworking, always willing to put others above himself, always willing to help anyone and everyone. 

 

John Paul leaves behind his wife, Lucia, and his two children, Catarina (19 years old) and Jonathan (14 years old), who were his everything. John’s passing leaves a huge hole in so many people’s lives, especially his family’s.

 

As the main provider of his home, John’s passing leaves a financial burden on his family.

While nothing will ever ease the insurmountable pain of losing a loving husband and father, if you would like to contribute to the family you can do so, in lieu of flowers.

 

Know that your kindness is much appreciated by John Paul’s family, as they navigate this tragedy. Please continue to keep the Duraes family in your thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time.
