Pray and help Miss Linda fight cancer

If you do not know her, but have heard of her, you realize you are missing a blessing.

Our dear Miss Linda, our friend and sister in Christ is suffering. She had a planned knee replacement in January. Recovery was progressing well until 3 weeks later she stood up, heard a horrible pop and experienced pain like never before. Unable to put any weight on her leg, she was transported to the hospital ER with x-rays showing a broken femur. Linda had surgery the next day to repair the broken femur. While the doctor was performing the surgery, he did a bone biopsy because he was suspicious. The next week, very unexpectedly, the words "you have metastatic bone cancer" were devastating. Then the search for the primary cancer source was put on hold while she went to a rehabilitation facility trying to recover from right knee replacement and left femur repair surgeries. With inpatient rehabilitation complete, Linda returned home to continue in home physical therapy and begin testing to find the primary cancer. March 23, the diagnosis was revealed...esophageal cancer and metastatic bone cancer. The bone cancer will be treated with radiation. The esophageal cancer will be treated with immunotherapy. Many challenges ahead. She is continuing to rehabilitate from the knee and femur surgeries and is still using a walker. She lives alone, yet must have someone stay with her 24/7 to assist her with daily life. The out of pocket medical bills are beginning to add up in addition to her regular bills.

Miss Linda has served thousands of people across the world through many overseas mission trips to Burkina Faso, Wales, St John USVI and locally as a small business owner for over 40 years and leading the food service team at New Hope Baptist Church to provide meals for church activities, special events and beginning a ministry to feed the shut in people in the local community.

Please join us in praying for this dear woman of faith. Our Lord promises that nothing is impossible for Him. So let us pray for a Miracle.
