Miss Lady needs your help!

Donation protected
Hi! I found this little blue-eyed trash possum running on the midtown streets last Thursday. She let me pick her up and take her home, making biscuits on some fleece, and purring all the way. She was emaciated and covered in fleas, but is now clean and flea-free and working on gaining some weight.

(after the first bath)

She is only a few pounds and still has baby teeth, so I am approximating her age at about 7-8 weeks old (pics make her look bigger than she is for some reason). Her tail is huge like a feather duster. Her ear tufts are unparalleled. I have a list of names, waiting for one to stick. Something fit for a fuzzy diva. Suggestions welcome. In the meantime, I have been calling her Oh Miss Laaaaady Ma’am!! (Miss Lady for short).

I am doing my best to take care of her but I have a limited budget. I have contacted several organizations but have only heard back from one that just sent me more information. I would like to get her to a vet as soon as possible for medication and eventually spay.

The VCA vet I go to quoted me approximately $1000 for the initial visits, tests, vaccinations, and the spay procedure. I have already purrchased some supplies and food for her with my credit card. This isn’t spare money I have laying around, so I am reaching out for some help.

The money will all go to helping Miss Lady. I intend no profit. I will post copies of the vet bills for transparency.

Many thank yous in advance for anything you can spare. Every dollar counts, truly. Even if you only have a little. I sincerely appreciate it. ♡

UPDATE 9/20/2023:
After a vet visit and some quotes, I opted to enroll her in the VCA Care Club. It is $117.44 per month for 12 months ($1,409.28 total) and will cover her exams, vaccinations, and spay during this time. The quote for the spay INCREASED since I called them on Friday morning, from $500 to $700, so joining the CareClub was the most economical decision. I have updated the goal to reflect this new estimate.

The vet also guessed her age at about 11 weeks or three months but did confirm she still had her baby teeth.

(here she is hiding under the chair at the vet)
