Greetings!

I am Shelby Janelle’ Allen, a junior majoring in Recreation Administration with a minor in Business. I am from High Point, NC and aspire to become a sports agent/manager for professional athletes. While doing so, I want to inspire young African American females that also want to work in the sports field. Currently I work with North Carolina Central University’s (NCCU) Department of Athletics as a football manager, and assist with basketball compliance.

I am proud to announce that I am running for Miss Kappa Alpha Psi for the Alpha Kappa Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated Scholarship Pageant. Along with helping to further my education, the Kappa Alpha Psi scholarship is also allowing me to step out of my comfort zone, work on public speaking, and highlight the Student Accessibility Services. It also shows the impact that the military has on students here at NCCU.

All donations will go towards the scholarship.

I would like to formally introduce myself as contestant number 10, Shelby Janelle’ Allen, striving to be the next Miss Kappa Alpha Psi.
