The Miss Fantasia 2020 Debutante Ball is a fundraising program sponsored by the Tealight Foundation, Inc. that offers community service projects, enrichment workshops, self-development, and college readiness activities for young ladies in high school. The Fantasia experience is designed to broaden the perspective of the young ladies educationally, socially, and culturally. Participation in the tradition and rich legacy of Miss Fantasia is a life-changing and wonderful opportunity that will enrich the lives of the participants.
Faith Deshawn Skeete is a Senior at Waubonsie Valley High School where she serves as a LINK Crew Leader and mentors to freshman students to help them successfully transition to high school. She also is a Physical Education Leader Assistant for freshman and sophomore classes and a member of the varsity track and field team.
When not in school, Faith serves as a peer juror for the Aurora Youth Diversion Program for the first time offenders and sits on the teen executive board for the West Suburban Chicago Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. as the Historian. Faith plans to pursue an undergraduate degree in Design with a concentration in Hospitality and Interior Design.
Faith's goal is to support the fundraising efforts of the Tealight Foundation. By placing an ad in the Annual Souvenir Book, buying tickets to attend the event or giving a monetary donation you are helping her raise funds that will serve local community-based organizations as well as provide college scholarships.
