Miss Delta needs help!

Hey all- Marcus here from Miss Delta...It is with humility and a heavy heart that I have to ask for help. I feel very awkward and sad about having to ask for help, especially when the community has been helping us for years by supporting us and eating with us.

There are a few reasons we need to ask for help. We already had to take on some debt getting through the pandemic, a fire and a major plumbing issue and now after a few unfortunate turns of events it's looking like I have to take on more. Honestly, the business cannot support this debt, pay the bills, buy inventory and pay employees.

We have recently had two more plumbing issues, been broken into and had a few pieces of equipment die. On top of that, I was recently told that I would no longer be able to keep putting a band aid on my walk in refrigerators evaporator. The coils are corroded and cracking and I have been having them put refrigerant in it every couple months until I could finally afford to replace it. This last time I was told we won't be able to do this anymore as the problem is getting too bad. I need to replace the evaporator and have to have the coils wrapped (a special procedure) so that it doesn't happen again. It seems like it's been one of those days for weeks now!

Miss delta has been here for 16 years thanks to all of you and I am hoping to be here to make it to the big 20! With your support I can fix the walk in, pay off some of the debt accrued for these issues and keep cooking up comfort food for y'all.

I am so thankful and constantly amazed at the support this community has given our little hole in the wall known as Miss Delta. I have been calling it the little restaurant that could for years...with your help I can keep calling it that! If we raise the funds needed there is going to be one heck of a party thrown for all the donors!!
