My name is Elise Firestone, and I’m honored to represent our beautiful state as Miss Connecticut for America Strong this August in Las Vegas. Chosen by our esteemed panel of judges from the many exceptional delegates, I was selected for my grace, strength, and the purpose of my platform.
This prestigious honor now propels me to the national stage, where I will represent Connecticut at the Miss for America Strong Pageant — part of the legendary Mrs. America and Mrs. World system. The finals will be held at the iconic Westgate Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas — the very stage where Elvis Presley performed over 600 times
Why This Title Matters
This isn’t just about a crown. For me, it’s personal. At 19 years old, I was diagnosed with primary idiopathic pulmonary hypertension, a rare and life-threatening condition that affects the lungs and heart. I was told to take each day as a blessing—and I have ever since.
I’ve chosen to use my platform to raise awareness for pulmonary hypertension, share my story of resilience, and inspire others living with invisible illnesses. This pageant gives me a national platform to amplify that message and connect with others facing similar battles and to empower women of all ages.
