Hello, my name is Kimberly Lewis, and I’ve had the privilege of knowing our beautiful Miss Carrie for over thirty years. She is my heart. The first call I make every morning and the last one I make before I go to sleep. She’s more than a friend — she is my sister by soul, my family by choice.

I first met Carrie in 1991 when she auditioned for the Phoenix Suns Dance Team. She became not only a beloved member but also a gifted choreographer, shining on that team for ten incredible years. Since then, she has continued to pour her heart and soul into the dance world. For over three decades, Miss Carrie has been the Artistic Director of Dance Studio 111, mentoring and shaping generations of dancers. Her influence reaches far beyond the studio — she has been a teacher, coach, mentor, and role model to countless children and families across our community.

Carrie is known for her kindness, her unwavering support of others, and her ability to lift up everyone around her. She is also a devoted wife and an incredible mother — her family is the center of her world.

In December 2022, Carrie was diagnosed with invasive melanoma. She has already endured so much, but now she faces yet another, far more extensive surgery. The emotional and physical toll is immense — and the financial burden even greater. Many of the necessary procedures, including the upcoming surgery and reconstructive work with a plastic surgeon, are not covered by her current insurance. The medical bills are overwhelming.

I’ve started this GoFundMe to help ease the financial pressure so she can focus on healing. Carrie has always been there for others — now it’s our turn to be there for her.
