Mision Miqueas 6.8 Fundraiser
Want to join me in making a difference?
This past summer, I was given the opportunity to visit my cousins Joby and Melody in Honduras. They serve as the directors of Miqueas 6.8, a home for vulnerable children where they can live and grow as a family. Joby and Melody’s greatest role is simply being parents to their 31 kids and providing a stable and loving home. It was such an amazing experience to help with the children as well as teach and learn from them. But throughout the summer, I saw how much financial support these children need.
Miqueas 6.8 exists as a family that strives to break the cycles of poverty and injustice. Joby and Melody have taken in children from all over Honduras who were living in deplorable situations. As most children have biological parents or family they are labeled social orphans and have little to no chance of returning to their biological families. When the children come into the home, they are provided with the tools to develop physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Currently, there are 31 children living with Joby and Melody and each child is in need of necessary supplies. The funds will be used for educational purposes, clothing, shoes and basic everyday needs. Joby and Melody are raising each child so that they can become prominent members of the community and ultimately break the cycle of poverty on their own. Since they are caring for so many children, every contribution would make a great difference.
I plan on making another trip this upcoming January 2019. All of the funds will be directly donated to the children and their needs and the organization. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me!
