Mishawn's Accident Recovery
Donation protected
On the morning of March 6th at 2 am there was a startling knock at my sister’s door that she can’t stop hearing. She was informed that her two youngest sons were in a gruesome car accident on a rural stretch of highway in Ohio, which resulted in the car rolling over 3 times and then catching fire in a field. One brother, while injured pulled the other from the burning wreckage and carried him to the nearest home’s property line looking for help. One walked away with injuries, and the other was taken by life flight helicopter to Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. My nephew Mi-shawn suffered the worst injuries of the brothers. He spent the next 6 days on the brain and spinal injury floor. He almost died and nearly lost his leg. While in the hospital and received 2 blood transfusions, surgery on a broken femur in 2 places. He has more surgeries ahead, including surgery on both hands due to multiple torn ligaments and burns to his hands. He also suffered a concussion which caused some memory loss. He is seeing multiple specialists while in the hospital including a speech therapist, an occupational therapist, and a physical therapist. This care will continue until he is rehabilitated and able to walk unassisted. I am setting up this fundraiser to help my nephew with any expenses that may arise as he fights to get on his feet. I pray that he will gain a little peace of mind during these uncertain times and be able to focus on his recovery because of your donations.
Mi-shawn is a 22-year-old young man and the sole breadwinner of his family. He has a 2-year-old daughter with his fiancé and another baby on the way. Before the accident, he was working full-time but will not be able to work for at least 6 months while continuing to heal and complete physical therapy. With so many young people depending on his ability to work and such a long road to recovery we are hoping to fill the needs of his family and take some of the pressure off the responsibilities of being the man of the house. He has been unable to sleep worrying about what will happen with his family.
Your donations will cover the most urgent financial needs. He will need financial help with continued medical care and medical bills. He will also need a car, assistance with maintaining housing for his family and preparing for the new baby’s arrival in May. Along with food, childcare, and other daily living expenses.

We are grateful for any and all donations. No amount is too small. Even if you are unable to contribute financially we are grateful for your continued prayers and love. With your help, our family will be able to come together and support and sustain my nephew through a strong and lasting recovery.
