Misha Baker - Road to Italy

In September last year, my cousin Misha was selected to represent the ACT in the U14 Girls ACT State Futsal Team at the Australian Futsal Association (AFA) National Championship.

Misha performed so well in the National Championships that she was selected to represent Australia in the U'15’s team at the Montesilvano cup in Italy! This understandably comes at a very high cost and Misha will rely heavily on donations and scholarships to be able to get there.

Well here’s a few things about Misha that makes her special…

Misha encompasses an unwavering sense of community. She is dedicated to school and soccer and when she isn’t found training and practicing her skills she is found with her nose stuck in a book.

Misha is the first person to help some one in need (such as shaving her head to raise funds and support her grandmother who was diagnosed with cancer) or supporting her peers as a house captain at her school!
