Mischief's Emergency Surgery Visit

Mischief went outside today and came home with a stick impaled in his stomach with an exit wound. We are not sure how this happened, but he went to the neighbor's house, and they came and got us. Once at the pet ER, things moved pretty quickly. The Dr. confirmed the stick went all the way through ( approximately 8 inches of the stick) with an exit wound. Mischief has to have emergency surgery and a 48-hour ER stay. We will give all our money to make sure he is ok and can come home to us. The ER estimates between $6,000 and $8,000; we will know more once he has surgery and if they need to remove his spleen or if any other vital organs, including the intestines, were affected. Most importantly, keep little Mischief in your thoughts. He truly lives up to his name.
