MIS-C Awareness and Advocacy • CircumSTANCE

CircumSTANCE (501c3 Nonprofit) is a grassroots advocacy and awareness organization based out of the Dallas, Tx area. We created the first ever official Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C) Awareness week in 2020 as well as the Official MIS-C Awareness ribbon(c). We will be hosting our third annual awareness week in December of this year (2022). CircumSTANCE has been featured in Fox News, Yahoo news, and have collaborated with the Washington Post.

When we started the first ever awareness campaign for MIS-C in 2020, MIS-C was rarely in the media - parents voices were going unheard, children were consistently being dismissed at initial visits, and children lost their lives due to the lack of awareness in the medical community. We now receive numerous thank you letters from parents stating that our infographics and awareness campaign helped save their child’s life. Long term complications are still being researched and CircumSTANCE will continue dedicating our time and efforts to the children affected by MIS-C and Post COVID Issues. Awareness and advocacy are of utmost importance - the more we keep our voices loud on this, the more we can help our future generations. Our future depends on how we support our pediatric population TODAY.
