Hi this is Emma's mom Charleen Krol; my heart is shattered! My sweet Emma went from chasing lizards & squirrels to being very sick! Diabetic Ketoacidosis & Pyometra 2 life-threatening things! I rushed her to the vet for blood work, X-rays, and Urinalysis, and they discovered all that was going on! They needed humane insulin, so I had to take Emma to another hospital that could provide it! She was put into ICU and started IV insulin, antibiotics, and potassium; insulin has to be given slowly; last night, nothing changed; this morning, Emma's numbers went up to over 600. Something had to be done! The insulin will not work fighting infection! The surgery has to be done & is very risky with Emma's condition! I will not give up on my baby girl! At this point, I'm praying for a miracle that Emma will fight & pull through the surgery!! She is my heart, as all my pups are, I have been so blessed to have healthy pups! This came out of nowhere!! I don't like to ask for help tough thing to do! But between both vets, it's very costly; Emma is my spunky,silly, loving baby that I've had since she was six months old! All my others were rescues or adults! But they are all my heart, my everything! If you can help, it would be a blessing; any amount would be appreciated! I can't give up & lose my baby girl!!!!
