Miriam’s journey to Pan Ams & World Championship

Hello everyone! My name is Miriam Trujillo and I am an 18 year old athlete living in Miami, Florida. I have been practicing karate since I was five years of age, and it has become one of the activities in my life that I can truly call my passion. After multiple years of training and competing, I am so happy to say that I qualified to be In the junior national team and will be representing Team USA!
With this great acknowledgment comes a financial charge that currently my family cannot support, as there are not a lot of funds granted to Athletes like myself competing abroad.This year I need all the help I can get to help fund my participation in the Junior Pan American Championships in Mexico City Aug 22-28 as well as the World Championships in Turkey Oct 26-30. I am asking if you can help me by donating and if that’s not possible sharing this link with a friend, it would really help a lot. I am so grateful for all of the support and compassion that you guys have shown towards me and my practice, it gives me all the energy I need to improve myself not only as an athlete but as a person as well.

Hola a todos! Me llamo Miriam Trujillo y soy una atleta de 18 años viviendo en Miami, Florida. He estado practicando el karate do desde los cinco añitos, y esta actividad se ha transformado en algo que puedo llamar una pasión verdadera. Después de muchos años de práctica y competencias, tengo la felicidad de decir que califique para ser parte del equipo nacional juvenil y voy a estar representando el Equipo de los Estados Unidos!
Con este gran reconocimiento también viene una carga financiera que es difícil sostener en mi familia en este momento. Ya que no hay muchos fondos dedicados para ayudar a atletas jóvenes compitiendo en un nivel internacional. Este año necesito toda la ayuda que pueda obtener para poder competir en el Campeonato Panamericano Juvenil en Cuidad de México y también el Campeonato Mundial en Turquía . Estoy sumamente agradecida de todo el soporte y cariño que me han demostrado a mi y mi práctica. Esto me da toda la energía que necesito para mejorarme no solo como atleta pero personalmente también.
