It is with deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved friend Miriam Cho, who passed on August 23, 2021. We are hoping to help support her family with memorial funds. In Miriam's honor, we would like to donate any excess funds in support of Asian American filmmakers.

Any and all gifts are deeply appreciated.

Update: We will be donating $15,000 of the memorial funds directly to the family. $3,000 will be donated to Asian American Documentary Network (https://a-doc.org) in honor of Miriam's passion for making documentaries.  Any additional funds beyond that (approximately $1,000) will be used to pay for additional housing for Miriam's loved ones to come into town for the funeral. Angie Hong, a close friend of Miriam's, is in direct contact with the family; she will withdraw the funds and deliver a check in person to the family. She will also distribute the other funds to the nonprofit and those in need of housing.
