My niece Miriam Litoroh needs your help. Miriam is one of the most humble, genuine, and kindest people you could ever meet. In May 2024, she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and Kidney dysfunction, requiring dialysis twice a week in addition to chemotherapy. While the family's initial goal was to seek treatment in India, we have had a significant breakthrough. We have identified a way to import the specialized, life-saving drugs needed for her treatment back home in Kenya. This allows Miriam to receive care locally, surrounded by her support system.

Because of your incredible response and generosity, her first cycle of specialized treatment has been secured, a milestone that fills our hearts with immense gratitude and hope.

However, while we celebrate this first victory, we must now prepare for the marathon. Miriam’s medical team has outlined a critical roadmap for her recovery from Multiple Myeloma. To ensure the disease is fully addressed and put into remission, she requires 4 to 6 more cycles of treatment. These life-saving medications must also be imported, a process that takes about three weeks, which means we must act now to prevent any gap in her care. Our immediate, urgent need is approximately KES 2,000,000 (USD15,500) to order the second cycle of treatment this April.

This is only the next vital step in a longer journey, as the additional 4 - 6 monthly cycles will also each cost about KES 2,000,000 (USD15,500). While the road ahead is a marathon, we remain steadfast in our belief that "little is much..." By standing together to meet these monthly milestones, we ensure Miriam can focus entirely on her recovery.
