Hi, my name is Bianca, I’m a huge dog lover, and I’m fundraising to bring Mira — a stray dog from a California kill shelter who had run out of time — to a loving home with me in the UK.

It’s been a whirlwind of a week. It started with me falling in love with Mira after seeing a ‘Paws n Prayers’ post on social media saying she was hours away from being euthanised, and ended with finding an absolute angel — Charlie, the nephew of a friend — who has a huge heart for animals and agreed to pull her from the shelter just in time. She will now be spayed and picked up Wednesday.

But the hardest (and most expensive) part is still ahead. Mira needs to be boarded for around a month while I find a pet relocation agent to get her UK paperwork in order, and then she needs to be flown from LA to London. All in, this is estimated to cost up to $8,000. I will post receipts in updates from any funds I receive.

I’m just an ordinary woman with an ordinary job whose heart hurt for this dog — and who decided to follow it. Any donation, no matter how small, means the world. I promise full transparency and regular updates on Mira’s journey every step of the way.
