Miranda: Reconstructive Top Surgery
Donation protected
My name is Miranda Mesch. I am an art student who attends university in Colorado.
Now I am working in Monument, Colorado building steel and iron sculptures for the local community!
Since I could remember I felt a little different then the women and girls around me. It wasn't until I had to use my first bra that I realized why. Dreams and fantasies have taken me to dark places, and I have never stopped wishing that I will wake up and my breasts will be gone. The moment I learned about reconstructive chest surgery, I knew it was what I needed.
Later, I started identifying as gender neutral, using they/them/their pronouns and explored more what it was that needed to change.
My breasts are a constant reminder of a body that does not reflect who I am. Like so many of the trans community, I experience gender dysphoria, anxiety, and negativity on a regular basis when dealing with this issue. To combat this, I wear binders daily, and dress in gender non-comforming clothing.
This campaign is the next step towards creating a body that I finally feel comfortable in and reflects how I identify. The money raised will go towards my top surgery, and the care afterwards.
This is a longtime goal, but the sooner I reach it, the better I will feel as a human being.
To be in a body that identifies as I know I am, would mean the world to me. Such a weight would be lifted to not look down and see a constant reminder of this nightmare, and this body does not match who I am.
I am thankful for any words of kindness, support, and any size donation. Thank you all so much in advance.
