IT'S HAPPENING!!

In just 4 weeks, I'll finally have this surgery that I've desperately wanted for years. I'm so grateful to everyone who donated and made this possible, your generosity will pay off in dividends of joy for the rest of my life. I hope that I can return some of that to you someday.

With the donations so far I was able to secure a surgery date with a deposit! I'm booked for December 18, which gives me about 6 months to raise the rest of the money in order to pay it off by the November 18 deadline. I'm excited and anxious and scared and so, so happy!

A big chunk of the money I've received has been from names I don't recognize, which really show how helpful it is to share the link, thank you so much!

Hi! My name is Miranda and I'm a trans woman living in Portland, OR. I've been pursuing bottom surgery (vaginoplasty) as a part of my transition for many years, and after finally having my consultation with insurance-covered surgeon here in Portland, I was given at least a 3 year wait time. This three years would involve many months of painful hair removal, and any big change in my life (new job, moving out of state, etc) in the next three years could jeopardize that timeline and put me back even farther. The 3 year wait would be full of pain and anxiety.

Instead, I've been speaking to the surgery team with Dr. Chettawut in Bangkok, Thailand. I'd be able to get this procedure done on a much faster timeline, as his technique doesn't require hair removal. Dr. Chettawut is well regarded in the international trans community, and his unique surgery offers really great results that seem better than what I could get locally. It's altogether a faster, easier, and better option for me.

Getting vaginoplasty would let me live more fully and presently in my body, relieving a lot of dysphoria and pain that I deal with every day. Your help would mean so much to me and affect me for the rest of my life.
