Update: It has been a bit, but I think you all need to be aware of how Miranda is doing. these are her words.
"I’m still in neuro rehab. I’m still in a dumb wheelchair. Have some cool new leg braces. Weakness and BAD NERVE pain. Had to put Kolton in full time daycare, which is another expense. My mom and mother-in-law are living with me switching weeks back and forth. Ummmm.... lots of different medications to help my symptoms. Still can’t drive. Obviously not working. Drowning in medical bills. Kolton had to get surgery for tubes so his medical bills. Zane works 48 hour shifts, and I can’t care for Kolton myself. Can’t work for AT LEAST 5 more months. Slowest recovery ever. Ohhh, I’m having trouble eating and swallowing now so I have to get an endoscopy.
My left leg is not recovering well at all could be life long but we won’t know till 1 year mark. still need some more testing from neurologist. Multiple doctor visits. Etc."
I am at a loss. Our friend, loved one is struggling. She needs us. Please help her, Zane and Kolton.

Update
8/24/2023: Miranda is at Baylor All Saints Rehab in Ft Worth. She is doing her 4 solid hours of physical and occupational therapy. She is exhausted, and working towards her goal. Sadly this 8-12 month recovery will require rehab into the middle of September, then a day neuro rehab. Miranda will be required to relearn tasks that we take for granted. GBS is testing Miranda's strength, but we all know that she can do it. Miranda needs our love and SUPPORT. I can not say this enough. We are not sure when Miranda and Zane's lives will get back to normal. Please help this amazing woman, and family.
Miranda is one of the most amazing women I know. Recently she has been experiencing health issues and has been unable to work. This is a strain on her and her amazing family. Miranda's husband, Zane is working hard, but also juggling Kolton(1.5yo). Miranda's mom, dad, and in-laws have all come to help out. Sadly, there was a delay in the diagnosis of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Miranda has been hospitalized frequently, and she is now facing a 3 week stay in an inpatient rehabilitation facility. Miranda has had numbness in her legs, and as high as her belly button. It started as weakness, but Miranda is unable to walk on her own. The treatment, IVIG, will hopefully help reverse many of the symptoms she is experiencing, but it is unknown what symptoms will linger. Miranda's recovery could take anywhere from 6 months to a year.
Miranda is an amazing, loving, stubborn woman that hates to ask anyone for help. This is an opportunity to support our friend, our loved one.
The funds raised for Miranda will assist with any future hardships she experiences as a result of her illness, and current medical bills. Miranda was hoping to be able to rehab in Grapevine, so she could be closer to home. The complex nature of her situation requires that she do the inpatient rehab in Dallas, which is almost 50 miles from her home. I said $3000, but we have no clue how long it will be before Miranda, Zane and Kolton's lives go back to normal. The Faske family appreciates anything you can contribute.
