Fundraising for charities in Memory of Maeva

Hi, my name is Carley, I’m the Mummy of Maeva Elsie Cowburn who fell asleep on the 19th June 2023 at 11 days old.

I have set this account up to fundraise for charities close to our heart, these include Baby Beat, at Royal Preston Hospital who support the Neonatal Unit where Maeva spent her short life. I will also raise money for Bliss and other charities that help premature babies and babies who have died.

I will be organising events, and fundraisers in the near future and all moneys raised will go to these charities.

Maeva was born at 33 weeks after complications in pregnancy. She had a rare genetic syndrome called Kabuki (KDM6A) and while pregnant developed Non Immune Fetal Hydrops. Following birth she suffered from Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn (PPHN) and unfortunately developed E. coli sepsis which she was unable to fight.

Throughout her short life she fought the greatest fight, and made her Daddy and I so unbelievably proud. Everyone who knew her loved her and we are going to keep her memory alive by raising money for amazing charities.
