Miracles for Mandy

My sister, Mandy (Miranda) Gustafson is formerly from Wilmot SD, she is a 35 year old single mother of 3 children and currently resides in Mitchell, SD 
4 years ago, Mandy was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer called grade 4 gleoblastoma, at the time she was 31 weeks pregnant with her now 4 year old daughter, Aiyanna.
She had an emergency c-section and then underwent an extensive surgery to remove the tumor. Due to the extent of the tumor and aggressiveness of gleoblastoma, her Prognoses was poor; her doctors gave her less than one year.
But Mandy defied those odds, and after several rounds of radiation and chemo, the likelihood of the cancer returning after 4 years, was slim.
October of 2016 would've marked her 5th year and declared her cancer free.

Unfortunately, as unsuspecting as cancer is, Mandy recently went into her local ER with all too familiar weakness and tremors in her left arm. An MRI confirmed our worst fears. 

Thanks to advancements in research, and new trials available, Mandy will be under the care of some of the best neurosurgeons and oncologists at Mayo clinic. However, the best comes with a price.

If you know Mandy, you "KNOW" Mandy. You know her by the light she casts across a dark room, and the contagiousness of her warm uplifting laughter. You know the importance of her role as a mother to all of her children, and her selfless nature to do for others more than herself. By her dedication to her job, her co-workers, her friends, and her family. Because Mandy, doesn't appear to "be", she just IS "genuinely, wholeheartedly, all or nothing......Mandy."

Mandy is also the main caregiver for her children, so any financial contribution large or small would help ease the burden of upcoming medical expenses and financial losses from being out of work.
Mandy would drop everything to assist others, now it's time for "us" to assist her.

We appreciate all of the support and prayers as we once again fight along side Mandy to overcome the odds.

Any financial contributions made to the "Miracles for Mandy" campaign, will be used to assist Mandy with medical expenses not covered by insurance, transportation to and from Rochester,SD while she receives her care at Mayo clinic, the cost of additional care for her children while she is receiving  treatment at Mayo clinic and recovery following her surgery, and towards her typical living expenses to relieve the burden of any financial losses associated with her illness.
This campaign is currently being managed by Mandy's sister, Mitchelle, and close friend Marci Pirlet  as Mandy prepares to undergo surgery and aggressive treatment to prolong her life.
Mandy is the Sole beneficiary of any funds associated with this account.
