Miracles for Maisy

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Megan, and I’m raising funds for my best friend Meagan and her sweet daughter, Maisy. Yes, my best friend and I share the same name.

Maisy is a joyful 1st grader who loves being around other kids, playing, and learning — but recently, her world has looked very different. A few weeks ago, she was admitted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta after doctors discovered a rare blood disorder that first showed up in her liver. Since then, Maisy has been receiving constant care, and the medical team is still working toward an official diagnosis because of how uncommon her condition is.

In just a short time, Maisy has faced more than most children her age ever should. She’s received numerous blood transfusions, steroid and antibiotic treatments, and even medications similar to chemotherapy to help stabilize her condition. She’s undergone two bone marrow extractions, liver biopsies, and countless lab draws, scans, and procedures. At one point, she was even admitted to the ICU after an artery burst, causing internal bleeding that resulted in her collapsed lung and placed on a ventilator — and true to her spirit, she fought through it with strength and resilience.

Because of her condition, Maisy hasn’t been able to return to school or play with other children. Her days are filled with hospital visits, medical treatments, and rest. But even with all she’s been through, Maisy continues to smile, show courage, and inspire everyone around her.

The next step in her journey is a bone marrow transplant — an important step that will give her a chance at recovery.

Meagan has been by her side every step of the way, focusing all her energy on caring for Maisy while navigating the emotional and financial weight of a long-term medical journey. That’s why I’m asking for your support — to help ease the financial burden for this incredible family so they can focus on what matters most: Maisy’s healing.

Your donation will go directly toward medical costs, travel, and support during Maisy’s treatment and recovery. Every bit of kindness makes a difference, and we are so grateful for your love, your prayers, and your support.
