Miracles at 28 Weeks: Supporting Andreas and Nikolas

Dear friends and family,

Our family recently experienced a miracle—and a challenge. On February 28th 2024, Luiza and Marinos welcomed their twin boys, Andreas and Nikolas, into the world at just 28 weeks.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the medical team, Nikolas made steady progress and was able to come home after two months. However, Andreas experienced a number of medical challenges and as such spent the first four and a half months of his life in hospital. He has so far undergone two major surgeries (including a life-saving surgery on the day he was born); and will need two further surgeries by his first birthday.

As a result of his operations, Andreas will need ongoing treatment and extensive specialised therapy to support his development.

The purpose of this campaign is to extend a helping hand to Luiza and Marinos to provide the most extensive medical care to Andreas.
