MiraclePill - Short Film Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hello, we are All Day Breakfast Pictures LTD and we are excited to announce our upcoming short film “MiraclePill”. We are a group of like-minded film fanatics, with the passion and dedication to our project. We thrive on learning new techniques and theories, that will expand our knowledge in our beloved field.

The story follows Harper, a 20-year-old trying to cope with the unexpected death of her mother. One day she finds a bottle of MiraclePills, made to help the user lose weight fast. In an attempt to change her life, Harper starts taking them. This is Juxtaposed through Harper's father Mike, a character who copes with the death of his wife through overindulging in unhealthy food, and mindless TV shows. As the film unfolds, we learn more about Harper and Mike's unstable relationship and how the death of the mother has drawn a barrier between them at a time where they need each other the most.

<A Word from the Director>

Storytelling is human, it’s in our blood. Everyone thinks of stories, the way we imagine them is unique, individual. I always intend to find the most immersive way of telling the story I am showing. In my eyes, films are an experience, they teach us and let us see the world through someone else’s eyes. In this film, as a director, I want to dive deep into the theme of grief, exploring it to the best of my abilities, gathering my experience on the subject along with my knowledge on directing and innovative storytelling. My aim is to use all elements of film in order to tell a deeply engaging story which gives the audience a new experience and perspective on the topic.

<A Word from the Producer>

Since my childhood, I've had an indescribable love for storytelling. Sometimes I have trouble expressing myself and relaying my words to other people. I become too self-aware and start to stumble upon my sentences. I see films as my ultimate medium for self-expression, as I can express my emotions through a scene, setting, character or story. I find films so intriguing because of the endless visual and audible possibilities that you can portray to an audience, through its many facets. For my role as producer, I’m going to ensure that all the obstacles are surpassed in our journey to completing this film. Please help us reach the finish line by donating. Thanks :)

Who are we really?

Budget Breakdown:

It's no secret that films can cost a lot of money to make. After careful research, we have come to the conclusion that (£2200) is the perfect amount to fulfill the assortment of necessities needed to complete this film.

Transport (£450): Firstly, we will need to transport our Cast, Crew and Equipment to and from our meetings, scoutings, rehearsals and to our various locations. We will be using our personal vehicles to travel, which means that we would need to pay for fuel. This category is essential to ensure the smoothness of our production.

Accommodation (£400): During the shoot we will need to make sure there is a place to sleep for each of our crew members as well as our cast. We will be hiring out an Airbnb for cast and crew to rest well between our shoot.

Food (£200): After a long and hard shoot, a hot meal is all our cast and crew need to keep them motivated and focused. One of our priorities is to make sure our cast and crew do their job on set to the best of their potential.

Production Design (£200): The location that we will be filming in will need to look littered and cluttered to portray the claustrophobic feeling that our main character Harper feels. On top of that we will need to provide costumes, props and set dress our location.

SFX (£300): Since the genre is a body horror, we will need horrific visuals all throughout the film. Because of this, we have hired Dave Darko an SFX artist. The SFX artist will be in charge of altering Harper and Mike’s appearance throughout the story, as well as any practical effects used on set.

Locations (£450): To aid the audience’s understanding of the characters and how they live, we will need to start with where they live. We will need to secure a location with all the amenities that we require to be able to tell this story. At the moment, we have procured to locations that we have as a back up while the search continues.

Contingency (£200): This is our Plan B. Filmmaking is all about getting past the troll to get to the next level. Sometimes the only way to lure out a troll is giving him a little extra, so we can safely cross the bridge.

So what can you get out of it?

In return for your generous donations, we have some souvenirs that we think you might like. GoFundMe has removed the rewards system but we still feel that it is important to give back in some way to our supports. Because of this, we have devised our own Rewards system for our backers as shown in the images below. If we are not able to get in contact with you through GoFundMe or would like to know more about these rewards, please email us at [email redacted]

Of course, you're probably wondering "Why should I donate any money to these amateurs?". Well, that's where you're wrong. We aren't amateurs. We started All Day Breakfast Pictures in late 2017, and so far have amassed a variety of projects under our belt. Short Films, Music Videos, Adaptations, and even Promotional Videos; we’ve done it all.
