Making Miracles for Mr. Strong

Meet our hero, Michelle Morales, and her son, Mr. Strong himself, Landon.
Five years ago, Michelle gave birth to her beautiful boy not realizing that she had a super hero for a son. Landon Timothy Harrington was born at 32 weeks. He suffered severe brain damage and is visually impaired, has Autism spectrum disorder, is non-verbal, has cerebral palsy, a seizure disorder, sensory processing disorder and is G-tube fed. Landon was recently diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a life-threatening disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs and digestive system. These are all things Landon has, but not who he is. He’s like another other child, he just wants to have fun, but his diagnoses present huge obstacles for him to overcome.
Landon's mother, Michelle, is a super hero in her own right. After Landon's initial diagnosis, she began researching foundations that could assist with providing him with additional therapy services once they had exhausted our normal allotment of services provided by their private health insurance. Unfortunately, they did not come across anything that would provide additional funding. She would sit in various waiting rooms and hear horror stories of how other families could not afford the therapy services for their special needs children and it was absolutely heartbreaking.
So as any warrior mama would, she created a foundation to do just that!
Michelle founded the Mr. Strong Foundation, Inc., but not to raise money for Landon, in fact not a penny goes to Landon or any of the board members children who have special needs. She did it to support families just like THEIRS because she knew firsthand what it's like to be in their shoes. Michelle believes every special needs child deserves a chance and therapy is their chance, so that's what Mr. Strong Foundation does, it gives these amazing children a chance to succeed in life.
With Landon's recent diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis, his needs have changed, and we felt it was time to give back to a sweet little boy and his hero mom who have given SO MUCH to other families in their hour of need. We are raising funds to build Landon his very own sensory playroom. Due to these life threatening conditions, his health would be put at significant risk if he was in certain public spaces, we are bringing the fun and learning directly to him. All of the materials and toys will be tailored to meet his needs and give him the same opportunity to succeed that his mom has helped to provide other kids.
