Mikki vs. Cancer - Help her fight!

Mikki was first diagnosed with breast cancer in Dec. 2008 and underwent a radical double mastectomy. Since then she has fought metastasized cancer in her brain -6 brain surgeries for tumors, in her bone- sternum, in her lymph nodes in left arm and neck, as well as the nervous system.  Mikki has had a total of thirteen recurrences since the initial diagnosis of breast cancer.

Conventional treatment is no longer an option due to low platelets.  Mikki has recently had a recurrence and it has been found in the lymph nodes of her neck, both lungs, and once again at the base of her brain.  A gamma knife surgery successfully removed this tumor from her brain stem last week (May 2017).  Her doctor has told her that there is nothing else that can be done, but that’s ok because there is still plenty that can be done.  

Mikki is exploring new treatment options, but insurance will not cover them because some are alternative therapies and integrative therapies.  Mikki needs integrative treatment that will hopefully address the underlying cause of this terrible disease, allowing her to finally eradicate this horrible plague from her life. As you can imagine, thirteen bouts of cancer would put a financial strain on anyone. All funds raised will go towards her treatment, travel, and other expenses associated with her treatment.

Mikki is a very special woman, a 45-year-old widow with two sons and a daughter, one of whom is only 9 years old.   She has fought this battle diligently for over 9 years and is not ready to let it beat her.  Mikki has faced immeasurable adversity and has handled it with grace and love.  She possesses a love for life that is rarely exhibited anywhere these days, but the movies. 

Mikki has spent the majority of her life giving back to her family, her community, and anyone else she encounters in need.  Even through all her hardships over the last 9 years, Mikki started a non-profit martial arts foundation that uses traditional martial arts and educational lecture to develop disadvantaged youth and adults with discipline, honor, and respect.​ 

If you can spare anything at all I know Mikki, her sons amd daughter will be forever greatful.  Mikki is in need of immediate help and assistance as the cancer is growing rapidly and time is of the essence.  If you cannot spare anything that’s ok too, most importantly Mikki loves prayers.
