Hi, I’m Mary a friend of Tabitha’s from church. We’re writing this on behalf of Tabitha, Layla, and their family.
Tabitha had been postponing a much-needed surgery for several years while serving as the primary caregiver for her daughter Layla. She finally underwent the procedure on January 27, 2026. After the surgery, Tabitha experienced a fall that required additional surgical intervention. She was then transferred from the surgical center to the hospital and later to a rehab facility for further care and recovery.
During this time, Tabitha faced an incredibly challenging period — she was declared legally dead for several days. Her loved ones gathered for an emotional farewell walk, preparing to honor her wishes regarding organ donation. In a moment nothing short of miraculous, Tabitha regained consciousness with only minutes to spare.
Today, Tabitha is working hard on her recovery. She has limited use of her hands and feet, is relearning how to walk, and currently uses a wheelchair. She remains in the rehab center but hopes to return home soon. Her road ahead will require extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy, ongoing medical follow-up, and significant support.
Tabitha has always been the strong, devoted caregiver for her family. Now, she needs that same love and care in return.
Donations will go directly toward:
• Ongoing physical, occupational, and speech therapy
• Medical bills and necessary follow-up care
• Specialized medical equipment and home accessibility modifications
• Everyday living expenses while Tabitha focuses on healing and returning to her family
Every contribution — no matter the size — will make a real difference in helping Tabitha recover with dignity and comfort. If you’re unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this page or keeping Tabitha, Layla, and their family in your thoughts and prayers.
Your support means the world and gives Tabitha the best chance to continue her recovery surrounded by the love she has always given so freely. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
