I’d like to introduce you to my sister De’nicka. My sister is one of the most deserving people I know! My sister alone has faced a lot including surviving Cervical Cancer, multiple miscarriages including one stillbirth, and the loss of her son De’Aujajuan. De’nicka has served her community for over 10yrs as a Nurse in the State of California, Colorado, and now Nevada. She also travels across the world offering her services even though Covid-19 she still worked front line serving her patients. She’s worked with Toys for Tots, she often gives up her free time to feed the homeless, and has donated to many charities over the years. Infertility is something that carries a lot of stigmas, despite the fact that more women struggle with it at some point, than don’t. After many unsuccessful results, De’nicka visited her doctor where she learned it was not going to be possible to conceive naturally because she has Salpingectomy. Salpingectomy is when one or both of your fallopian tubes are removed. In 2015 she began to research her options after having a tubal pregnancy and then suffering another one in 2017. Now she is ready to start the long and arduous road known as IVF. Those of you who have family members or friends that have gone thru the IVF process, or maybe you’ve experienced it firsthand, know what a difficult and trying process it can be, and that’s before you even consider the cost. In some cases, you have to have two to three rounds of IVF before you can achieve pregnancy. While the world was shut down, De’nicka has continued looking into options that would give her the family she wants more than anything. While we are disheartened that fertility issues are not often discussed, and are not covered by her insurance, it is now clear that an intensive and extensive IVF process is her only route to achieve the path to her dream family. She would never ask for this kind of help so as her little sister I decided to start this GoFundMe campaign to help her raise the additional money she needs to achieve her dream of starting a family. It’s a very personal thing to share with the world, something normally only spoken about between a couple in the privacy of their own home. While we need more than $10,000 that we are trying to raise through this platform, we hope that this will help us get closer to what is needed. I understand the world is in a crazy place, but if you have the means to help my dear sister, please consider donating whatever you can to help her achieve her dream. And if you aren’t in a place where you can donate, please consider sharing this campaign thru whatever means you feel comfortable with or simply adding her to your prayer list. You can share the link thru email, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Thank you so much for taking the time to read her story! Please take a moment to read, share, and donate. God bless!
