It hurts my heart to post this, but I am experiencing the worst situation at this point in my life.

I've worked my entire life from the age of 18, raised a son after a divorce, then returned to school to earn my BA and two Master's degrees. My mind is still intact and I am otherwise a happy healthy person - athough not particularly happy at the moment. 

I was laid off from my job August 2016, unemployment ran out in early March. I looked everyday, day and night, for a new job. I had only three interviews out of the hundreds of resumes I submitted. I couldn't understand it, because I had always found it fairly easy to get a job. Then, the reason started to rise to the surface when one interviewer said they had a 4-month training period and they wanted someone to stay for a while, so they were hiring "younger workers." Needless to say, I was floored.

Now, I find myself not able to pay my rent and some of my bills. I have two interviews tomorrow and I am hopeful one will work out. They are not high paying jobs, but they are jobs.

My family cannot help me for some very legitmate reasons specific to them, They have given me some suggestions, but unfortunately those solutions will take some time, which I do not have right now. My Church family is supportive, but they cannot really help with what I need. 

Currently, my only income is $1700 from social security. I am absolutely drowning.

The funds received will be used to pay off current rental fees, a couple of bills, and then allow me to rent a new, less expensive place.
