My name is Carolynn. I am the cousin of Curtis Carter who resides in St. Michael, Barbados. My cousin is so caring towards others so I want to start a Go Fund Me page to help him in his time of need. Curtis is an honest, hard working, self-employed mechanic. He suffered a terrible injury to meniscus in the right knee. It requires major surgery and needs to be done right away. Curtis comes from a humble means and lifestyle. The surgery to correct his knee is quite expensive. Unfortunately, as he is self-employed, he does not have life insurance to cover the cost. The surgery is to be performed in Barbados by a specialist at a cost of $26,000 Barbados dollars. Financially, this simply isn’t within his reach. This situation is dire, as it is mandatory the surgery be done right away otherwise he will risk extensive and further injury to his knee. As he is incapable of working right now, I am coming to you in the hopes that you can help! I am asking our family members, friends, members of the Barbados community and the community on a whole for assistance. We would be so grateful for anything you can do. We are eager to help Curtis have surgery and begin the process of healing then he can begin physical therapy and get back to work as soon as possible. The surgery will take anywhere from 4 to 5 hours to complete. Curtis will be immobile for two months to heal. It’s Christmas, I know this is a bad time of year to ask for donations but this is critical and the surgery is mandatory. My cousin is a person who does everything for himself and an immeasurable amount for others and this a very difficult thing for him to accept and ask for help.
