With heavy hearts and broken pride, we’re here to ask your help. For those of you that know Waylon, we’re starting this gofundme for him. For those of you that don’t know Waylon, please take a moment to read this so at the very least you can take a piece of him with you too. Waylon Sterner is the sweetest, most loving 5 year old little boy with the personality of a cartoon character. There is no other 5 year old with as big of a heart and personality as him. He is the ray of sun that peaks behind the clouds in the hardest of times. He loves life, and he loves everyone in his life. Recently, Waylon was hospitalized in the ICU following the diagnoses of the flu, bronchitis and double ear infections. The doctors discovered inflammation on his brain and worked diligently to find the cause. What they found was an incurable genetic neurological disease, a form of LEUKODYSTROPHY that has begun to

deteriorate his brain causing basic functions like talking or movement to become a challenge for Waylon. This disease is eventually terminal, and requires various forms of therapies (speech, physical, occupational) all of which require his continued hospitalization. Waylon’s parents, Katelynne Sterner and Allen Sterner are there with him now and plan to be there in the coming weeks. Katelynne’s previous employer shut down her location, leaving her unemployed on Christmas Eve. No one could predict that the week following Christmas, their little family would be in this position. They anticipate Waylon to be hospitalized for several more weeks to come as they work on getting him stronger to come home. We know that financially things are hard for everyone in this economy, so we understand if you’re not in a position to donate, but if you are and you are willing, please consider doing so, so that Waylon and his parents can have what they need as they continue treatment for Waylon.
